Xhorse Dolphin XP005L Decode Ford Focus HU101

 Xhorse Dolphin XP005L Key Cutting Machine can decode & cut Ford Focus HU101 successfully. It also supports to cut by code if you have its actual bitting codes. However, now I can use a working key to read out with the machine directly.

 

Decode Key

Vehicle database >> Ford >> Focus >> USA – Gen3(After 2011)

 

It tells to use M5 clamp side A.

Install the working key and tip align 5^th position.

 

OK >> Decode key

Dolphin 2 starts decoding the key…

Once decoding is completed, XP005L screen will display the bitting codes: 2442321355.

Cut Key

Remove the working key to install a blank key for ready.

Press “Cut key >> Cut” to start.

It’s allowed to check preview here as well.

 

Xhorse Dolphin ii machine will start cutting when instructed.

Just wait then turn over to cut the other side.

 

All done!

As you can see, it’s same as the original one.

So far, I like it, Dolphin XP005L is a pretty nice machine. The cut came out really clean and precise.

How to Get the Xhorse Condor II Engraving Cutter?

 Question:

I bought the xhorse condor xc-mini plus ii key cutting machine to do engraving. It asks for a special engraving cutter. Where and what engraver bit do I buy?

It will not engrave without the engraver cutter? Do you not know when it will be available?

Answer:

The engraving cutter is an optional accessory of condor ii.

It is not yet available now.

FYI: the M5 clamp is used to cut vehicle keys, to cut dimple key and engrave key, you need optional clamp/cutter separately.

How to Cut New Honda Thin Key with Xhorse Condor II?

 Xhorse Condor XC-Mini Plus II is able to duplicate a Honda Civic/Acura Integra SY key (pretty thin). The procedure includes 3 steps: cut the blank thin, cut key tip cutting & cut key bitting. The new Civic/Integra key is pretty thin, so we’ll use the No.123 key blank for duplication.  Condor II is the only Xhorse machine that can cut this super thin key.

Step1. Cut The Blank Thin

1. Setting, Installation & Calibration

Settings >> Cutting setting >> Probe and cuter diameter setting >> 1.0mm probe, 2.5mm cutter, save

 

After installing M5 clamp, 2.5mm cutter & 1.0mm probe to Condor II, go to do a device calibration: Manual cutting >> Line mode >> Initialize

 

2. Detect Z Points

This is to determine the height reference points. Here we’ll first detect 6 points and 2 points next.

– Insert the key blank & tighten M5 clamp.

– Move the probe till it’s right above the key blank by pressing X/Y.

– Long press Z point to record the point.

 

*Currently XC-Mini Plus II supports recording 2-6 points. Users can record 6 points directly and cut it thin. However, these points have to be recorded precisely. And it’s hard to recod with human eyes(you may need a vernier caliper). So it’s recommended to record 8 points to finish cutting.

 

3. Cut Thickness

Start cutting >> 1.50mm cutting depth >> Cut

Just wait Condor Mini Plus processing…

Take out the key when completed, we can see the area within the 6 points are completely thinned.

 

Go on to cut the head part of the key.

Insert the key reversely.

Start cutting >> Cut

We’ve finished the 6-point area cutting.

4. Record Last 2 Points & Cut The Rest.

– Calibration again: Manual cutting >> Line mode >> Initialize

– Insert & tighten the key blank

– Detect Z point, then 2 points

– Cut 2 sides: start cutting >> 1.50mm cutting depth >> Cut

The key blank has been cut thin.

 

Step2. Key Tip Cutting

1. Mark the key blank based on the shape of the original key tip.
2. Manual cutting >> line mode >> Initialize
3. Insert the key blank & tighten the clamp.
4. Detect Z point & 3 marked points.
5. Start cutting >> 1.75mm cutting depth >> Cut

Cutting completed.

Step3. Key Bitting Cutting

Automotive >> Brand/model >> Civic >> SY

The 2 sides of Civic keys differ in bitting.

So we should decode both sides:

1. Insert the original key & tighten, A Side >> Decode key
2. Flip the key and tighten again, B Side >> Decode key
3. Remove original key to insert new key blank on clamp, A Side >> Start cutting >> Cut
4. Flip the key blank, B Side >> Start cutting >> Cut

Key bitting duplication completed.

Test Key

It can work perfectly to open the lock.

Done.

Xhorse Key Reader Dolphin XP005 Decode & Cut HU66

 It is a great convenience for work to use Xhorse Key Reader & Dolphin XP005 cooperatively. Locksmiths can perform key cutting after identification in Xhorse system directly. Following I’m gonna decode & cut a HU66 key as demo.

 

Decode HU66

Finish to connect all devices, go to

Cut by bitting >> HU66 >> OK >> Optical identification

Push Key Reader button to put into the key.

Click on “Identification” twice.

 

It’ll start decoding automatically…

Reading was successful in seconds.

There’s a quick scan on screen, it’s 12443231.

The Xhorse key reader did all right.

8 bittings are all correct. They’re really on point. I do notice that Key Reader is really more accurate with high security keys.

Cut HU66

Install a new key and tip it to align M2 clamp C side.

Cutting key >> Cut

Dolphin XP005 machine will start cutting according to command.

Just repeat to cut the other side…

 

Test the key once completed.

It can open the lock smoothly.

I do really recommend this XDKR00GL Key Reader, Xhorse never leaves me disappointed. It’s quite smart to work with Xhorse Key Cutting Machines to avoid a lot of trouble.

Fix Xhorse Dolphin XP005L Error Code 33 when Cut TOY40

 The TOY40 emergency key is very thin, only 1.5mm with one side. So if using 2.5mm cutter, Xhorse Dolphin XP005L will give a 33 error code. Following I’m gonna show how to decode & cut it.

 

For Dolphin XP005 or Condor XC-Mini Plus key cutting machine, you’ll need to use M2 clamp & bar adapter. New Dolphin II M5 clamp can cut without bar adapter.

Decode Key

Vehicle database >> Asia >> Toyota >> TOY40 emergency key(one side key)

Install the original key on M5 clamp side B, tip align 2^nd position.

Press “Decode key”.

 

The Dolphin II will start decoding, just wait until completed.

Its bitting codes have been read out.

Cut Key with 1.5mm Cutter

Install new key blank on M5 clamp, press “Cut key”.

It mentions “Error code:33, cutter diameter tool large.” while the warning red light is flashing. That means the TOY40 one side key cannot use with 2.5mm cutter.

 

So let’s change the cutter to 1.5mm.

And remember to save new cutter diameter on machine:

System >> Machine parameter >> Cutting setting >> Cutter diameter: 1.5mm

 

Go back to re-cut again.

Xhorse Dolphin II can normally cut key now…

Cut key success.

Done.
