Xhorse Dolphin XP005 Cut Volvo NE66 Key

 Just got a new device Xhorse VVDI Key Tool Plus recently, so today I wanna test it to control Dolphin XP005 Key Cutting Machine to cut a Volvo NE66 key.

 

Firstly you should get the bitting key code, it’s H05933, 3312-2134.

After connecting Key Tool Plus with Dolphin XP005, press

Cutting key >> All key lost >> Volvo >> Input key code, query >> NE66, 4-4 bitting

It shows the key bitting and requires to install M2-A clamp tip align position 2.

 

Fix the key blank on M2 clamp firmly, press “Cut”.

Dolphin XP005 machine starts cutting…

 

Wait cutting finished.

Then turn over to cut the other side.

Press “Cut” to wait…

Alright, completed!

Let’s try it in the door lock, it can work smoothly.

Done!

 

This is using VVDI Key Tool Plus to control Dolphin XP005 to cut NE66 when all key lost. It also supports to smart control other Xhorse machines like Condor XC-Mini Plus, XC-Mini and Panda.

How to Test Xhorse Dolphin XP005 Battery?

 Here is a little guide to test battery storage of Xhorse Dolphin XP005 key cutting machine. (attention: please recharge it for one hour or more )

 

1.Remove  4 Screw two side of base, then remove base armrest

2.Put Dolphin XP-005 on it’s one side, remove the screw marked on picture, remove base

3. Remove the screw and unplug 3 connector, remember it original place (better take photo before unplug it), when you install need plug it as original

4. Remove battery, Short-circuit the two pins of the start switch, and use a multimeter to measure the two pins of the output terminal. If there is no 24V voltage output, the battery does not store electricity and needs to be replaced

You can follow this way when you need to place a new battery for Dolphin as well.

Xhorse Dolphin XP005 to Cut HON66 Laser Key

 Today I’m gonna show how to use Xhorse Dolphin XP005 + VVDI Key Tool Max to copy a HON66 laser key.

 

Prepare a Honda original key & a new key blank.

Connect Key Tool Max with Dolphin XP005 via Bluetooth to smart control.

 

Vehicle database >> Acura >> MDX >> HON66 >> OK

Install M2 clamp, and fix the original key on it as prompts.

Decode key >> Continue

The Dolphin XP005 Machine starts coding key…

 

Wait until coding completed.

Take out the key to replace a key blank to fixed it on.

 

Go to Key Tool Max,

Cutting key >> Continue

Dolphin XP005 machine starts to cut the key…

 

One side cutting is finished.

Turn over the key blank to cut the other side.

Just repeat operations as before.

…

Okay, finally key cutting is done.

Look at that new key, it matches perfectly, same as the original one.

It can open the car door.

What are the differences?

Xhorse Dolphin XP007 is with built-lithium battery, much lighter & smaller for carrying. It is an end milling machine, only to switch 7000rpm/10000rpm for cutting speed. It is cheaper than XC-002, providing 1 year warranty.

 

Condor XC-002 is a horizontal milling machine without built-lithium battery, supports to set cutting speed from 8000-10000rpm by manual. It features with high-strength die-casting chassis which makes it stronger and heavier. It provides 3 years warranty.

 

 

What are the similarities?

Both Dolphin XP007 and Condor XC-002 support to cut same key types. Both can support cutting speed up to 10000 rpm, both should operated by manual.

Xhorse Dolphin Electrical Conductivity Measurement Guide

 If the Xhorse Dolphin XP005 Key Cutting Machine does not do electrical conductivity measurement, you may meet problems like the cutter was broken when cutting keys every time.

How to do electrical conductivity measurement for Dolphin XP-005?

Go to Xhorse app,

Device information >> Electrical conductivity measurement

1. Probe and clamp
2. Cutter and clamp

 

Please use blank key or any other conductor to connect the probe and the clamp/ the cutter and the clamp in successive order, to measure their electrical conductivity(as shown in figure). If the electricity conducts through the conductor, the green light turns on.

 

Just follow the tips to operate, press “Start” to perform actions in order.

Check if Xhorse Condor Power Board is Damaged

 One user met a problem that his Xhorse Condor XC-Mini Plus machine cannot start, even if the machine was updated to latest version, USB light is on, the issue still remains.

At this point, engineer should have to troubleshoot if the Condor XC-Mini power board was damaged.

 

How to check if Condor XC-Mini power board is damaged?

 

1. Place down the XC-Mini Plus machine, take out screws as pic shown;

 

2. Take out the power board to check output voltage, check if it is 24V in red circle position;
3. If not, check if the input voltage in arrow position is 110/220 V.

If input voltage is normal, which means the Xhorse Condor Mini Plus power board is damaged.
